Project Overview
A luxury retreat on Georgia’s beautiful Lake Oconee, the Ritz Carlton, Reynolds, receives much of its annual revenue in the weeks before and after the Masters Golf Tournament, which takes place the first week of April. Thus, the full scope of property enhancements, including a refurbished hotel lounge and 251 guest rooms, along with new dining venues, had to be completed before the tournament. Schedule was paramount. There was no room for inefficiency, error or delay.
Given the Ritz Carlton’s sophisticated clientele, it was critical to execute the project plan while the hotel remained open for business. Ownership sought out PDSI as a trusted partner who could manage multiple stakeholder positions, along with a consultant team representing a wide range of disciplines. We were charged with brokering the various points of view, and driving the brand and design team to keep the project moving. We also addressed the unresolved problem of sound transmission between guest rooms – key to guest comfort and satisfaction. The PDSI team solved this issue by collaborating with an acoustics expert and finding a way to add acoustical material to interior walls. Skillful collaboration adds value to all of our working relationships.
At PDSI, our culture empowers people to hone and apply their unique abilities. By taking responsibility and making decisions, our team grows in expertise, which in turn empowers our clients and the diverse teams we work with on the job. Our collective performance creates greater value for all.
