Project Overview

Originally developed in the 1920’s and 30’s, the Jupiter Island Beach Club is a private club steeped in tradition. The Club has hosted many prominent figures in government, business and entertainment. Improvements to a dilapidated Clubhouse had already begun in 2014 when PDSI was engaged to lead the project. Our job was to take control of redesign and construction, and to rigorously monitor expenditures. It was imperative to honor the budget – and complete work prior to peak season.

Beyond an efficient management process and careful monitoring, this project required a tactful approach to navigating complex interpersonal relationships among those Club members involved in the project. Among the group were accomplished architects, designers, and land-use professionals – and all members had a strong sense of ownership. To accommodate their requests, PDSI preserved all of the beloved coconut palms, moving over 100 trees off-site during construction and replanting healthy trees during final landscaping.

It was incumbent upon the PDSI team to use diplomacy and judicious decision-making to keep this project moving forward in friendly fashion. Our commitment to timely project delivery was unflagging. We spent many extra hours on-site to make sure everything was properly done and moving at a pace to ensure readiness on schedule. The result? Exceptional execution of a unique and complex project.
