Mr. Sanchez comes to PDSI with 38 years of experience in Construction and Project Management. Based out of our Orlando office, Ivan is responsible for scope development, design review and approval, bid solicitation and evaluation of all design and construction projects, while ensuring quality control. As the driving force of a project, he provides direction and process for the project team while managing effective communication between all constituents, while delivering the project on time, within scope and budget. Mr. Sanchez is known for his passion for service and mentoring others, and always “finding a way to win” when solving complex problems.
After 20 years serving in the US Army as a First Sergeant and Sr. Engineer Training Manger, Ivan transitioned to civilian life working as a Construction Superintendent, Senior Facilities Manager for DynCorp International in Kabul, Afghanistan, Project Manager for Land-Ron, and most recently as Senior Construction Manager for Vectrus in Kuwait. While in Kuwait with Vectrus, Mr. Sanchez worked with the US Army’s Central Command where he executed various construction projects that enhanced the morale, welfare, safety and mission accomplishment of Service Members from all military branches. His most notable hotel renovation projects are the Charlotte Marriott Center, Springhill Suites South Bend, Residence Inn Nashville, and the Courtyard Boca Raton.
In addition to Ivan’s military career, he has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is a member of PMI, NFPA, ICC and the US Army Engineer Association. Mr. Sanchez was awarded the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal from the US Army Engineer Association for contributions and distinguished service to the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the Audie Murphy Medal for Leadership Excellence while in the US Army. Ivan enjoys family time, fitness, volunteer work at his daughter’s school, and loves Pittsburgh Steelers football.
