San Souci Resort & Spa
Redevelopment
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Located in the center of the northern shores of Jamaica, this circa 1954 hotel was originally developed as luxury vacation apartments. After several years of neglect by previous owners, British American Tobacco acquired the property in 2001. BAT retained PDSI to develop a new concept for the hotel and to reposition it from an upscale all-inclusive property to a luxury hotel with a high end leisure clientele.
PDSI's services included a complete responsibility
evaluation of the existing asset and the competitive set, establishment of benchmarks through which to judge the success of the redevelopment plans, retention of local and international design firms to define the new property, development of the "Project Baseline Document“ which outlined the budget, scope, schedule and other pertinent project information, and the management of the creation of the design documents.
